A benefit exhibition in support of the Kunstverein Neukölln e.V.

Following the success of last year’s benefit exhibition, which greatly helped to secure the future of the Kunstverein’s exhibition space, Kunstverein Neukölln has once again launched an open call. This year’s edition appears under the title Horizonte, aligning with the annual theme “Landscape.”

From Neukölln, countless horizons can be seen — as many as there are people and perspectives. People from all over the world live here and bring their own viewpoints, while Neukölln residents travel widely for holidays, work or personal reasons. The district is shaped by a multitude of horizons: some close to home, others extending across the globe. And in the imagination, entirely new horizons emerge, opening up new worlds and new ways of seeing.

The idea of the horizon also connects naturally to landscape and the landscape format. A wide view offers orientation and suggests openness. And at the horizon we look for the break of day — a place where hope begins.
